News from Alcantara - latest from Phase 3
Interior Plants: The committee wishes to plant the troughs that are inside the blocks but is withholding the order until we know if the Decree of Drought will continue or not . This will be know by the end of May - beginning of June.
New Grass: Again due to the Drought situation we have decided to start slowly planting Spanish grass (grama) in the garden areas, as this requires les water and maintenance.
Stones and Fencing: As soon as possible we also intend to plant bougainvillea around the boundary of our complex. This plant has spikes and will make access more difficult to intruders.
Cleaning of Balconies: Please note that it is forbidden to wash or hose down terraces. Firstly becauseof the drought, secondlly the chemicals prejudice the plants below. We thank you for your cooperation.
Water Invoice: We have recently paid a water invoice, which included the consumption for the whole of 2005. Some owners asked why and the reason is that the community was formally constituted om 29/12/2004 and thus the community is responsible for the payment.
Intercom for Pedestrian og Car Gate: The intercom system allows us to chose to open either the pedestrian gate or the car gate. We have decided that it should be the car gate. We are further studying costs in order to have an automatic system of opening of the gate and garage doors without the need of using the remote control (this is only for exit).
Problem of Noise of Dogs from Kennel: It is essential that each owner, each adult within a property, visitor, guest , tenant, sends in a complaint to the Town Hall of Mijas, either by fax 952485199 or leaving it at any of the three Town Hall offices (La Cala, Las Lagunas, Mijas Pueblo) or emailing-faxing it back to the administration office.
Look at your e-mail box - we have send a copa of draft letter, where you can fill in your name, property number, date and signature.
Let,s hope that between all we can achieve something.
